GX Dev Data Dashboard

This has been a new feature for game developers hosting their games on gx.games. The aim was to give them a simple and useful tool to start getting into data for their games, how it perfoms and maybe having some tips about how to improve it based on what they see.

We went for a limited amount of data shown for the version 1 of this dashboard to get started and see how it’s received by developers. We needed to know if they where understanding what they see, if it was useful enough for them, and maybe what else they need for a v2.

Users are able to see specific data per game, more global data per studio and have a real idea about their game performance on a dynamic timeline.

So far the data shown was extremely limited like, number of plays or favorites and that’s it. We tried to give mode information and a timeline to have more insights about what’s happening and inspiration to improve games as much as possible.

This is The Pilgrim. A character introduced as guide, a help. Users can see him giving tips or on infos tooltips

We also introduced a light mode to give more flexibility. Not just an aesthetic thing, but with accessibility in mind and not knowing the developer’s environment, a choice between dark and light mode can help with readability.

A glimpse of the component created for this project, always with the mindset of scalability and ease to apply changes.
